COVID-19 Reopening Update: March 11th, 2021

Top Out Community,

Thank you for everyone for being patient with Top Out’s ongoing COVID mandated closures.
Los Angeles County's inevitable advancement to the “red” tier this weekend means that Top Out will be able to reopen soon!
We will be working over the next few days to get ready and make sure everything is safe and good to go. We expect to reopen towards the end of next week or early the following week.

Please check back for updates and all members will receive a reopening e-mail with full details. Indoor climbing is right around the corner!

COVID-19 Closure Update: January 25th, 2021

 Greetings Top Out Family,

Today, Governor Gavin Newsom lifted stay-at-home orders across all of California. This stay-at-home order was put into place to ease the strain on overcrowded hospitals and shortage of ICU beds. Many of you may be wondering if Top Out can now reopen. Unfortunately, we still do not have an accurate timeline of when we can reopen.

With the easing of the stay-at-home order, all counties must now revert back to the colored tier program. Los Angeles county is still firmly entrenched in the most restrictive tier, or the purple tier. To reopen for indoor climbing, Los Angeles County must further improve its metrics to advance to the red tier.

Today’s news is the first step toward reopening as we hope the worst is behind us. We will continue our lobbying efforts with our state and local health departments and will give updates on any progress or timeline of reopening. For any questions or to make an appointment in our retail shop, please e-mail: infor@topoutclimbing.com

We miss all of you and please stay safe and healthy.

COVID-19 Closure Update - October 24th, 2020

Top Out Family,

The pandemic has been hard on indoor climbing centers—over 80% of the country’s industry climbing centers are still worried about making it through this in the long term. Top Out has combined with 24 other indoor climbing centers within California in lobbying efforts to save our industry and have formed the California Indoor Climbing Alliance.

Right now, California climbing centers can’t open at their maximum safe capacity, no matter how many cases we have in our area. We need your help to show policy makers that we are safe!

Here’s what you can do:

✅ Go to CICCoalition.org

✅ Click “Take Action”

✅ Fill out the sample email to Gov + State Public Health

✅ Hit send to and your tiny effort could have a giant impact!

COVID-19 Closure - July 14th, 2020

With the latest shut down in California due to the continued spread of COVID-19, Top Out is looking for a little extra support. During this second shutdown we are creating a way for members and other supporters to continue assisting the gym financially. Please visit https://www.topoutclimbing.com/covid19-support to see all the ways you can assist Top Out.

Members: All memberships at this time will be frozen immediately with no freeze fee, so there is no need to do anything additional on your end.

As of this time, we have no timeline for reopening. The press release from Governor Newsome indicated that counties must be removed from the “watch list” before being allowed to reopen. Right now, Los Angeles county is on the watch list due to elevated disease transmission. Until the county can reduce its overall coronavirus daily cases, the county will continue to remain on the watch list.

Thank you for any and all support you are able to provide. Top Out Climbing is incredibly grateful for the community we have built. We'll be here for you when we are able to reopen. Everyone on staff thanks you for your generosity.

COVID-19 Closure - July 13th, 2020

Top Out Climbing Community,

Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in the State of California, Governor Newsom has announced that all fitness facilities on California's county watch list, which includes Los Angeles must temporarily shut down operations effective immediately. Heartbreaking as it is to shut down a second time, the lives and health of everyone comes first and foremost.  During our closure, please stay safe and let's all work together to stop the spread of COVID-19.

We will be informing all members with your membership information and options how to support Top Out in the next couple days.
